Zaragoza Airport Information

Information on Zaragoza AirportZaragoza Airport is situated just 10km south-west from the city centre. It is a joint civil-military aerodrome which is experiencing a major increase in passenger traffic. Because of its central location, with over 20 million people within a radius of 300 km, it is an important freight distribution centre and during 2009 the airport handled a total of 528,313 passengers with 12,746 flight operations.

Zaragoza Airport operated four regular freight routes: Emirates Airlines flys on Wednesdays and Saturdays between Zaragoza and Dubai; Air Bridge Cargo flys every Tuesday between Shanghai-Moscow-Zaragoza; Air France flys every Thursday and Saturday to Paris-Zaragoza-Bahrain and MK Airlines operates every Wednesday between Johannesburg-Zaragoza-Johannesburg.

To cope with this increase in passenger traffic a new passenger terminal has been opened. It has a futuristic design giving the illusion of waves and skylights and creating a huge amount of light in the passenger areas.
