Vigo Airport Information
Vigo is in Galicia on Spain's north eastern coast. The airport is just 9 kms from Vigo's city centre and 28 kms from the city of Pontevedra. In 2009 1,103,291 passengers and 15,696 flights were handled at Vigo Airport, compared with just 391,000 travellers in 1995.
Unlike many other Spanish Airports, most of the passengers passing through this airport come from internal Spanish flights with Iberia and Spanair being the main flight operators.

Flights to Vigo Airport
At
the moment there are not any direct flights from the UK to Vigo.
If you are heading here from anywhere other than Spain it is a pretty
safe bet that you will have to change planes at Madrid. There are plenty of internal flights on offer through Iberia and Spanair and you can fly direct to Vigo from Paris and from Barcelona, Bilbao, Gran Canaria, Madrid, Paris, Tenerife South and Valencia.
Vigo Airport Arrivals
Once
at the airport it is easy to get around the Vigo arrivals and departures
areas.
On arrival you will disembark from the aircraft either via the air bridge or be taken by bus to the baggage reclaim hall via the ground floor. For more information and live flight arrivals click here.
Vigo Airport Departures
Departures are through the ground floor at Vigo Airport and there are a couple of cafes that provide hot and cold snacks
and drinks and two shops (including a multishop) which sell duty
free goods and souvenirs.You can check live flight departures here.
Vigo Airport Parking
Building work on the new car park at Vigo Airport has made it necessary to change the traffic direction for arriving and departing from the terminal building. The new car park will increase the car parking capacity at the airport from 716 to 2,700 places.
The provisional car park is being replaced by a new alternative car park close to the Vigo Flying Club. It has with 450 spaces and offers 30 minutes free parking to users.
You can access this car park, taxi ranks, bus stops and the passenger collection area by heading towards Redondela at the roundabout located between the airport and the IFEVI which is clearly signposted.
Vigo Airport Buses
The
bus stop is beside the arrivals gate and circular line C9A on weekdays
covers the route between the airport and Plaza América; on
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, between the airport and
Colón. The buses run every 30 minutes from 06.00 - 23.00
and the journey only takes around 15 minutes and costs just

A coach service has also been provided from the centre of Vigo (direct via the motorway) to Oporto to cater for the budget flight market. The fare is €12 and you can find out more at Information telephone: (0034)986 291 600 .
A new line from Vigo Airport operated by Monbus runs from Vigo Bus Station - Pontevedra - Sanxenxo - O grove (for Vilalonga). Journey time is 1 hour 5 minutes.
Vigo Airport Taxis
Taxis
can also be found just outside the terminal building and as a guide
to charges you should expect to pay from the airport to anywhere
in the towns of Vigo, Mos and Redondela cost around €17.36;
to all other towns, €0.85 per kilometre. Pontevedra is €35

There are two shops at Vigo Airport: Celtic Products is in the public area and sells gifts, household goods and toys and Divers multi-shops are located in the check-in and departures areas offering a wide variety of magazines and newspapers, gift items, music, books, and a range of food products.
Vigo Airport Bars & Restaurants
The Cafeteria-Restaurant Ruta Jacobea is in the public zone of the departures area near the boarding area. It is a self-service restaurant offering typical foods from Galicia, drinks, snacks and pastries. The restaurant specialises in seafood, fish and meat dishes accompanied by local wines. The cafe is open from 06.00 to 24.00 hours and the restaurant is open from 13:00 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 22:00.
There is also the Ruta Jacobea cafeteria serving snacks and drinks in the arrivals area which is open from 05:30 to 23:00
