At the moment there are not any direct flights from the UK to Vigo. If you are heading here from anywhere other than Spain it is a pretty safe bet that you will have to change planes at Madrid. There are plenty of internal flights on offer through Iberia and Spanair and you can fly direct to Vigo from Paris and from Barcelona, Bilbao, Gran Canaria, Madrid, Paris, Tenerife South and Valencia.
Once at the airport it is easy to get around the Vigo arrivals and departures areas.
On arrival you will disembark from the aircraft either via the air bridge or be taken by bus to the baggage reclaim hall via the ground floor. For more information and live flight arrivals click here.
Departures are through the ground floor at Vigo Airport and there are a couple of cafes that provide hot and cold snacks and drinks and two shops (including a multishop) which sell duty free goods and souvenirs. You can check live flight departures here.
Building work on the new car park at Vigo Airport has made it necessary to change the traffic direction for arriving and departing from the terminal building. The new car park will increase the car parking capacity at the airport from 716 to 2,700 places.
The provisional car park is being replaced by a new alternative car park close to the Vigo Flying Club. It has with 450 spaces and offers 30 minutes free parking to users.
You can access this car park, taxi ranks, bus stops and the passenger collection area by heading towards Redondela at the roundabout located between the airport and the IFEVI which is clearly signposted.
The bus stop is beside the arrivals gate and circular line C9A on weekdays covers the route between the airport and Plaza América; on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, between the airport and Colón. The buses run every 30 minutes from 06.00 – 23.00 and the journey only takes around 15 minutes and costs just €1.05. You can find out more at www.vitrasa.es or telephone +34 986 291 600
