Since 1995 the number of passengers using Valencia Airport has more than doubled with 4,748,981 passengers and 81,113 flights being handled there in 2009. It is now the eighth busiest airport in Spain, with this huge increase in passenger numbers explained by the introduction of a large number of low cost flights from the UK and Europe and a marked increase in the number of foreign property owners in Valencia and to the south along the Costa Blanca.

60% of all passengers arriving at Valencia Airport are from internal Spanish flights and the remaining 40% is mostly from other EU Countries such as the UK, Germany, Italy and France.

Valencia Airport Private Transfers

Valencia Airport Taxis

On the Ground Floor you will find the Valencia Airport Taxis just outside the arrival hall. There are always taxis waiting at the rank and the fare into the city centre should be around €15 .

Valencia Airport Arrivals

The Valencia Airport Terminal is spread out over three floors with the main activity for Arrivals and Departures taking place on the ground and first floors. The Valencia Arrivals hall is on the ground floor and consist of 6 baggage reclaim areas.

Valencia Airport Departures

The Valencia Airport Departures Hall is on the First Floor of the Terminal and in the departure lounge (after check in) you will find the main shops in Valencia Airport. There is also a VIP lounge in this area.

There are two public car parks at the airport which can accommodate over 2,600 vehicles. They are located at P1 and P4 (which is further out and has a bus service to the airport terminal - arrivals and departures). Valencia Airport Buses

The Valencia Airport buses run every 20 minutes from 06:00 until 22:00. The trip into the centre of the City takes around 15 minutes and costs €2.50.

 

Valencia Airport Trains

There are Valencia Metro Trains which are two underground lines which link the airport, the city centre and the port: the line 3 (Rafelbunyol-Aeroport) and the line 5 (Marítim Serrería - Torrent Av. / Aeroport). The station is at the ground floor of the regional flights terminal.

Driving Directions to Valencia Airport

The driving directions to and from Valencia Airport are fairly simple. You access and exit the Airport onto the main National Road the N220 which connects to the main A3 motorway and N335.
