Information
Tenerife Airport South is often referred to as Reina Sofia: the other airport
is at the top of the island and is Tenerife
North Los Rodeos Airport which is smaller in size and handles less passenger and flight traffic.
Unlike most other Airports in Spain, Tenerife gets busier in the winter months as Northern European tourists flock here to take advantage of the warm, winter Tenerife weather. It is the 7th busiest airport in Spain with passenger numbers reaching 8,252,017 and flights totalling 60,779 in 2008. We have put together a detailed travel guide to help you navigate your way through Tenerife Airport and on to your holiday destination.
