Weather in Seville
Seville enjoys a Mediterranean climate throughout the year, with
cool winters and hot summers. July and August are the hottest months
of the year when the temperatures in Seville can reach as much as
38ºC, but being close to the Atlantic Ocean the sea breezes
can be most refreshing.
From November to April, it is advisable to wear either a warm sweater, jacket or coat and January sees Seville at its coldest. From March onwards the weather starts to warm up dramatically and is noticeably more sunny with May and October being particularly pleasant times to visit Seville with its warm and fresh climate.
The climate contributes significantly to the atmosphere of the
cafés and bars where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are pure
social occasions. The streets in the city centre are always shaded
on one side, so even at midday you can get around on foot if you
need to.
Choosing a Car
The weather in Seville really is hot enough for you to put the air conditioning on during the spring and autumn months. Most of the hire cars come with it for a small amount extra, and if you are visiting Spain over the summer months we strongly recommend that you get an air cooled car.
