Seville Shopping
The
major stores in Seville are open Monday to Saturday from 09:30am
to 8.00 pm, but the smaller traditional shops do often take a siesta,
doing business from 09:30 or 10.00am to 1:30 or 2.00 pm and again
from 4:30 or 5.00 to 8.00 pm. If you are looking for some local

Shopping in Seville
The main shopping area in the centre of Seville are the two parallel pedestrianised streets Sierpes and Tetuan where you can buy just about everything including handbags, clothes, shoes, ceramics, sporting goods, jewellery and local crafts and souvenirs.
The
streets begin at Plaza Nueva/Plaza San Francisco where the "Ayuntamiento"
(Town Hall) is located and you can walk down Avenida Constitución
to the cathedral. The other end of Sierpes and Tetuan leads to La
Campana and Plaza del Duque where El
Corte Inglés is situated.
The shopping district spills over into the side streets including Calle Tetuan and Calle which are worth a visit, towards the Alfalfa and a few streets towards the river. There is a large Zara in this area and a large bookstore, called La Casa del Libro, which sells guide books, maps and literature and fiction in English. Zero's in Tetuan 11 has some spectacular shoes with abstract designs from Muxart with bags to match.
If
you are looking for local handicrafts then head for the narrow streets
of Barrio de Santa Cruz and seek out Rodrigo Caro and Mateos Gago
which are full of trinket and antique shops. There are more antiques
and handicraft shops in El Arenal which is to west of the Cathedral
Triana is on the other side of the river and specialises in beautiful ceramic tiles, and for clothes hear to Nervion which is near Santa Justa Railway Station where you will find a number of shopping centres and department stores.
Getting around in Seville
If you are planning to explore the area outside of the city centre and play some golf or go to some of the more out of the way beaches then you might consider hiring a car. There are a number of car hire firms based at Seville Airport who will be pleased to have a vehicle awaiting your arrival. This also cuts down on transfer costs for you and your family.
Because Seville and the surrounding area offer so much to see and do, we have written a Seville Area Guide to help you plan your trip. It contains information on the best Seville Shopping Areas, Seville Markets, Seville Golf Courses, the different types of Seville Beaches, recommended Seville Restaurants, details of Seville Amusement Parks for family days out and Local Attractions in Seville.
