Some points which you should bear in mind when renting a car from Hertz are:
- You cannot tow using a Hertz car and this is a violation of the rental agreement.
- If you return the car late it can affect the type of rate assigned to the rental. Late returns of less than 29 minutes will not be charged in most instances, but 30 minutes or later will incur an additional cost. If the return is late by three hours or more you may well be charged for an additional day’s rental.
- You cannot remove seats from a Hertz vehicle.
- All Hertz cars, including 4 wheel drives, should only be driven on regularly maintained roads. Off road use is not covered in the rental agreement
- A Hertz car cannot be paid for at one location and rented at another as the driver must provide a form of payment at the time of hiring the car, together with a valid driver’s licence and proof of age if necessary.
