The 18 hole par 72 Reus Aiguesverds golf club is just 10 minutes from the centre of Reus and is a flat course which can be easily walked. It stands in olive groves and is surrounded holm oaks. It has ten lakes, a spectacular island green and is 6314 meters long with quite a few holes that will really test your skills with some strategically placed greens and water hazards (one par 3 green is almost entirely surrounded by water). The superb club house is a converted country house with a terrace, bar and restaurant. Club amenities also include a golf school, pro shop, driving range, pitching and putting greens, buggy, trolley and club hire and a swimming pool. Advance booking is necessary here.

This championship Golf Bonment Teres Noves course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and is a great test of golf set in a natural landscape offering stunning views of the mountains and sea. It has three spectacular holes, two par 3's and a par 5, 90 bunkers and some testing water hazards. The club hosted the PGA Tour Catalonia Open in 1991 and 1996 (Paul Lawrie’s first tour victory).

The Costa Dorada Club is an 18 hole par 72 course which was founded in 1983 and is rated as one of the finest in Catalonia. It is situated in a beautiful valley full of olive groves with pines, willows and palm trees bordering the well maintained fairways. The course has the second longest par 5 in Spain (637yds white tees) with a spectacular two tier green.

It has fantastic views over the Mediterranean but is a private members club which prohibits visitors at weekends so make sure you book some time on a week day here

This 6,429 metre par 72 plus 18 hole par 3 short course was designed by Bernhard Langer and opened in 1995. It is a parkland course with clever use of bunkers and natural water springs which is landscaped to a high standard. The Panoramica Golf & Country Club offers the more experienced player the opportunity to use all the clubs in their bag from the back tees, while still offering the weekend player a not too difficult challenge from the normal regular tees. It is a reasonably flat golf course which provides a challenging day of play.

If you are planning to explore the area outside of the city centre and play some golf or go to some of the more out of the way beaches then you might consider hiring a car There are a number of car hire firms based at Reus Airport who will be pleased to have a vehicle awaiting your arrival.
