Weather in Palma
Palma de Mallorca has an ideal climate with little rain and average
temperatures kept below 86ºF (30ºC) even in mid-summer
with the sea breeze. Temperatures remain mild in the spring and
autumn and even in winter rarely drop below 50ºF (10ºC),
though some rain is more likely at this time of year. Water temperatures
range from 64ºF (18ºC) in May to 79ºF (26ºC)
in August making Mallorca ideal for swimming and water sports.
The sunny, hot months tend to be the peak of the tourist season in Mallorca. If you prefer to visit the Balearics during the low season in November, December and January you should still experience fine, mild weather on most days and this is an ideal time to play some golf there.
The lowest rainfall tends to be in July and the highest in October, November and December. In the summer months storms are quite unusual, although in the mountainous regions the clouds may be thicker and rain more frequent than in the lower, coastal area.
Choosing a Car
The weather in Palma de Mallorca really is hot enough for you to put the air conditioning on during the spring and autumn months. Most of the hire cars come with it for a small amount extra, and if you are visiting Spain over the summer months we strongly recommend that you get an air cooled car.
