Markets in Palma

Saturday morning flea market in PalmaThe markets in the smaller villages usually sell some excellent fresh regional produce including fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy products as well as local arts like pottery and leather goods. If you are visiting a market where there is a farming community you will see all kinds of live animals: cows, horses, sheep, hens, ducks and even kittens being sold. To get a good deal watch how the locals barter and this will give you a guide of how much to offer.

The majority of the markets start setting up at around 8.00 am and are in full flow by 10.00 am, but don’t leave it too late as they close at around 14.00. All of them are accessible by road but are not all on public transport routes, so it is well worth considering renting a car.

To make things easier for you we have listed Palma markets and the area markets in separate tables below.
