Palma Airport Information
Palma Airport is located just 8km east of the city of Palma de Mallorca. It is the third busiest Airport in Spain and for a brief period over the peak summer months actually becomes the busiest.
Palma is a very large modern airport with a main terminal building which has four boarding modules off (A, B, C & D). They are really terminals in themselves with their own shopping areas, places to eat and arrivals and departures halls. You can see a plan of the layout of Palma Airport here.
Palma Airport handled a total of 21,203,028 passengers and 177,492 flights in 2009. The highest percentage of passenger traffic is from Germany, followed by Spain and Great Britain.
Module C is currently closed as it is undergoing works to expand from 20 embarkation gates (10 with boarding ramps and 10 remote) to having 33 (17 with boarding ramps and 16 remote). There will also be a traffic hub which is an open space with lots of natural light where passengers can enjoy comfortable facilities.
