Arrivals at Palma Airport

Palma Airport Arrivals Palma Airport Arrivals are handled on the ground floor. A large number of the planes land in the middle of the airfield so that you have to disembark down a set of steps which are wheeled up to the aircraft's entrance and then get on a bus which will take you to your arrivals module. At the entrance doors you go up some stairs or escalators into the airport building.

There are four modules (A:B:C & D) which are linked to the main terminal. They are also used for departures so when you arrive you will have access to the same shops and places to eat and drink as when you leave.

To find out more about the location of the boarding modules look at our plan of Palma Airport.

From your arrivals module you just follow the signs along the corridors until you arrive in the main terminal's luggage hall where you can collect your baggage.

Palma Airport Majorca is notorious for the very long distances needed to walk from the plane to baggage reclaim so try and avoid carrying lots of hand luggage. It's about a 7-9 minute walk from the arrivals module to the luggage hall but there are four automatic passenger walkways to help you on your way.

exit from baggage hall into arrivalsIn the baggage hall there are loads of free luggage trolleys and you just look at the monitors near the entrance to see on which belt you pick up your luggage from. The carousels themselves are also clearly labelled with the incoming flight details. Oversized luggage will also be delivered to the baggage reclaim carousel.

After you collect your luggage you make your way into the public arrivals hall which you enter via the door for your module, so if you are being met by someone give them your flight number so that they can find out from the monitors which module you are arriving at and wait at the right set of doors.

The other alternative is to arrange to meet them in the Medas Cafe which is on the right hand side of the exit doors (number 4-5) to the Palma Airport bus, coach and car park and taxi rank. This also has an outside area overlooking the car park and is a good place to wait for someone.

in the public arrivals are you will see the car hire desks along the wall facing the exit doors of the terminal. In the first block you will find Auriga Crown, National Atesa, Record and Sixt and in the second batch there is Avis, Europcar, Goldcar Europa and Hertz.

If you want your journey from the airport to your holiday destination to be as smooth and stress free as possible then get a quote for a Palma Airport transfer where the driver will meet you after you have collected your luggage and escort you to vehicle waiting to transport you to your final destination.
