Granada Airport is on my list of "Airports to Watch", the passenger traffic is going through the roof and there are a number of larger car rental companies moving into the airport.
It's a good airport for getting to the Sierra Nevada, Spain's southern Ski resort, the airport is also closer to the eastern edge of the Costa del Sol than Malaga and if you are travelling to towns such as Nerja or Motril then it may be better to fly into Granada.
