Contacting lost property at Valladolid Airport

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Hi Dave,

You can email the airport at vll_reclamaciones@aena.es – then you can run your message through a free translation engine to send it in Spanish.

Hope you manage to locate the camera.

Linda

Hi,

I lost my camera at Valladolid airport end of June this year, but as your website says there is no lost property department, and I don’t speak spanish, and that’s all they speak on the phone! What do you suggest?!

Many Thanks,

Dave

Travelling to Burgos from Bilbao, Valladolid or Santander Airport

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Hi Linda

Many thanks for your speedy reply and help – very useful information.

Marianne

Hi Marianne,

You can catch a train to Burgos from both Bilbao and Valladolid Airports. If you click on this link it will take you through to the Renfe website where you can check timetables.

As far as buses are concerned you can find out details of buses from Santander Airport to Burgos here: buses from Bilbao here and finally buses from Valladolid Airport

Linda

Hi – I am planning to continue on the Camino to Santiago from Burgos. I am flying from London and can arrive at three airports – Bilbao, Valladolid or Santander (in order of preference). I would like to know the times of buses or trains that will take me from one of these airports to Burgos. Even some website addresses would help.

Kind regards

Marianne

Getting from Valladolid to Pamplona

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Hi Michael,

There are no direct bus links from Valladolid Airport to Pamplona. All I can suggest is that you get from Valladolid Airport to the Renfe station in the city centre and then get a train from Valladolid to Pamplona (which involves one change).

If you want to go by bus then you can get a bus from Valladolid to Burgos and then connect from Burgos to Pamplona or get a train from Burgos to Pamplona.

Your other option is to hire a car at Valladolid Airport but it is a 350km journey will take you about 3 hours 30 minutes to drive it.

Linda

Hey,

I am flying into Valladolid on Sunday morning around 11.00 and need to get to Pamplona. What is my best option?

Regards,

Michael Barry

Getting from Bilbao Airport to Cabezon de la Sal

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

You have been extremely helpful and the information of the site is excellent
Thank you
Anders

Hi Anders,

It’s a 148km journey from Bilbao Airport to Cabezon de la Sal so a taxi would cost in the region of €180 single fare!

You can catch a train from Bilbao to Santander but you need to change at Palencia or Valladolid . Or a better option is to get a bus from the centre of Bilbao to Santander

It’s then a 46km journey from Santander to Cabezon de la Sal so a taxi would cost around €60.

Your other alternative is to use the bus links above to find out timetables to Torrelavega (but the services are not as frequent as the Santander ones) but Cabezon de la Sal is only a 22km journey from there and the taxi would be about €35.

For details of how to get from Bilbao Airport to the bus or train stations click on this link.

Your final alternative is to hire a car from Bilbao Airport.

Linda

Dear Gary,

Can you advise on the best and cheapest way to make this journey. I will be arriving at Bilbao in the early afternoon.
Best regards

Getting from Valladolid Airport to Zamora

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Hi Amy,

I don’t know of anyone who operates private transfers with minibuses from Valladolid. It’s a 107km journey so a taxi will cost in the region of €130 and it can only take 4 people so will be costly for 10 of you. You can book a taxi by telephoning 983 291 411 or 983 297 755

It’s probably worth trying to hire a minibus. You can get a free online quote for car hire by clicking on this link.

Or there is one train a day from the centre of Valladolid to Zamora.

Linda

Dear Sirs,

I have a group of 10 adults who will be flying into Valladolid airport on June 26th. We need to book a bus or a taxi to get us from the airport to our hotel in Zamora. Do you have any suggestions?

Can we book something in advance?

Thank you and kind regards,

Amy Brosch

Car hire at Valladolid

Friday, March 28th, 2008

Afraid I don’t know them. It is worth getting an online quote through Cartrawler to see if they can match up your requirements and you can also ask them if the car hire companies based at the airport have arrangements for pick ups when they are not open. Usually they have something in place to meet the Ryanair flights. Follow this link for more info http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/valladolid-airport-car-hire.html

Linda

Hi i’m travelling to Valladolid Airport with ryanair in April arriving at around 11am. I want to hire a car, but none of the 3 rental offices are open at that time (only from 1330). A company called hispacar say that can provide a car. Do you know of this company ?

Getting to Toro from Madrid by bus

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Hi Grant,

There are no buses to Zamora from Madrid I’m afraid. The only way you can get there is to travel from Madrid to Valladolid – details at https://www.alsa.es/VentaParticulares/AGVenta and then get a taxi to Toro (there are no buses linking Valladolid to Zamora or Toro). It’s a 69km journey which will take about an hour and cost in the region of €85.

Linda

Dear Linda,

Thanks for the information on the train. You don’t by any chance have any info on a bus timetable for getting to Zamora .

Thanks

Grant Baillie

Hi Grant,

It’s a 234km journey and there are no buses from Madrid to Toro. Your best best it to get a train from the centre of Madrid to Zamora – details at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir130.jsp&O=MADRI&D=30200&AF=2007&MF=MM&DF=DD&SF=NaN&ID=i
and then a taxi into Toro – it’s a 39km journey which will take about 30 minutes and cost about €50.

You can find details of the various ways to get from the airport to the train station at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/madrid-airport.html

Linda

Hi Gary,

I am travelling to Toro in December and was wondering if you could provide me with any info rmation on how to get their by bus from Madrid . I arrive on a Saturday afternoon and will be travelling that afternoon up to Toro.

Many thanks

Grant

Getting from Madrid to Toro

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Hi Joe,

There is a station at Toro but no trains from Madrid operate there. If you follow this link you can find out which stations you can catch a train from http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir110.jsp&O=?&D=?&AF=
2007&MF=MM&DF=DD&SF=NaN&ID=i

Your other option is to get a train from Madrid to Valladolid – details at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir110.jsp&O=?&D=?&AF=
2007&MF=MM&DF=DD&SF=NaN&ID=i and then hire a car from there for what is a 69km journey which will take you under an hour. If you get a taxi it will cost in the region of €90

It is a 234km drive from Madrid Toro (about 2 hrs 30 mins) and if you do decide to hire a car you can get a free online quote at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/car-hire-spain.html

As far as Hotels in Madrid are concerned you can find a good selection at http://www.madrid-hoteles.com/ and if you need advice and guidance the staff at Area Hotels who own the website have good knowledge of what is available to suit your requirements.

Hope this is of some help to you.

Linda

Gary:

I came across your website and thought I would ask for your advice. I will be visiting Spain in December and will fly into Madrid. Part of my visit will take me to Toro, but I can not find that option on any of the train websites. Is there a station in Toro?
It appears to be an easy drive from Madrid to Toro, but if transportation by train is an option, I would prefer to not rent a car.
Also, what would you recommend for a hotel in Madrid?

Thank you so much for your assistance.

Sincerely,

Joe Walker
