Malaga Shopping
Antiques, furniture, decorative ceramics, home accessories, fashion,
handcrafted shawls, lace, leather goods, embroidered accessories
and food products can all be found in Malaga.
The most popular shopping destination is Centro Comercial, Rosaleda
and Malaga Plaza where you will be able to buy souvenirs, gifts,
crafts, home décor, accessories and fashion. Plaza de la
Constitucion is a great place for jewellery and fine gifts.
Shops in Malaga
Calle
Marques de Larios is the main shopping street in Malaga which is
pedestrianised with marble pavements offering a great range of exclusive
shops and designer boutiques. The narrow alleyways and side streets
which branch off are also full of some great shops. Malaga is famous
for its handcrafts including the esparto grass works, embroidery,
iron work and pottery. The best places to find traditional handcrafts
are Almazul, Calle Beatas 53 and Los Artesanos, Cister 13.
Shopping in Malaga has undergone a radical change as traditionally small family run stores were in abundance including bakeries, greengrocers, hardware stores and haberdashers supplying needles, buttons and other sewing equipment. Although large shopping malls are starting to appear on the outskirts of the city, these neighbourhood shops are in evidence and you can usually find goods at a cheaper price.
Spain’s famous department store El Corte Ingles is located on the Avenida de Andalucía selling just about everything, including shoes, perfume, fashion, home ware, furniture and food.

Getting around in Malaga
If you are planning to explore the area outside of the city centre and play some golf or go to some of the more out of the way beaches then you might consider hiring a car.
