What the Weather is really like

Weather in MadridThe Madrid Weather is chilly in the winter, hot in the summer, its almost 2 extremes.

The best months are May, June and September, wonderful temperatures, clear blue skies but not that overpowering sticky heat.

What you should pack

December - March. Bring clothes that will keep you warm. It can sometimes snow in the winter and not all the places you visit will have heating.

March - May & September - November. Warm Days and cool nights is the best way to describe it. You have to pack for the full range of Madrid Weather. Rain (just in case), heat and the occasional chilly night.

June - August. Bring anything to keep you cool. Ironically, this is not the best time to visit Madrid because of the temperatures. On the other hand if you can stand the heat, Madrid has a lot less traffic as everyone else is on holiday (somewhere cooler!).

With the Madrid Weather hitting the 40s during the summer months bring anything that keeps you cool.

Is the weather in Madrid warm enough to sunbathe all year round

Should you get a car with Air conditioning?

My answer is Yes in the summer, no in the winter and take a view in the Autumn and Spring.

A more important question is should you drive at all? Madrid has a good public transport system and you can research all the options for Madrid Airport here. We provide information on Madrid Airport taxis, Madrid Airport buses, Madrid Airport trains and Private Madrid Airport Transfers
