Madrid Markets
The
Spanish love their markets and in Madrid there is an incredible
variety on offer. From the stamp market held underneath the arches
of Plaza Mayor to the fresh seafood on offer at one of the local
fish markets there really is something for everyone.
Most of them start up at 09.00 am and start packing up at around 14.00 so arrive earlier if you want to avoid the crowds.
We have tabled below the main markets held around city centre but
there are literally hundreds of others further out on the outskirts
of Madrid. You will find they all sell similar goods and the speciality
markets are listed below. Make sure you wear some comfortable shoes
and keep your money in a safe place. Happy shopping!
