Departures Madrid Airport

Madrid Airport Departures You need to check your Madrid Airport Departures terminal before you get your Madrid Airport taxi, Madrid Airport transfer, Madrid Airport bus or Madrid Airport train to the airport.

There are four terminals at Madrid surprisingly named, Madrid Airport Terminal 1, Madrid Airport Terminal 2 Madrid Airport Terminal 3 and Madrid Airport Terminal 4. Below is a rough guide to which flights depart from which Terminals, it is vital to check the terminal for your Madrid Departures which is represented by T1, T2, T3 or T4 next to the Gate Number.

You can also check the Terminal number on the monitors located at the car park exit and near the entrances, you can find out how to access the different terminals. Go to the departures area of the corresponding terminal.

Madrid Airport Departures Terminal 1

International Flights, except Air Portugal TAP, Air Berlin, Finnair and those offered by Air Europa and Iberia going to the following countries Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Holland, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden.

In the Departures lobby in T1 (first floor) you will find information panels where you can check your flight number and the desk or line of desks where you have to check in. After checking in, you will find the boarding gate for your flight specified on your boarding card.

Once you have gone through security (located on the same floor as check-in), make your way to the appropriate departure gate.

Madrid Airport Departures Terminal 2

Domestic flight departures to the following countries Germany, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Holland, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden and Air Europa flights coming from France, Italy, and Portugal.

In the Departures lobby in T2 (second floor) you will find information panels where you can check your flight number and the desk or line of desks where you have to check in. After checking in, you will find the boarding gate for your flight specified on your boarding card.

The security control area for T2 is on the first floor of the terminal building. After going through security and passport control, make your way to the appropriate departure gate.

Madrid Airport Departures Terminal 3

All domestic Spanair shuttles

In the Departures lobby in T3 (P0 and first floor) you will find information panels where you can check your flight number and the desk or line of desks where you have to check in. After checking in, you will find the boarding gate for your flight specified on your boarding card.

On P0 of T3 you will find check-in desks 610-617 and boarding zone F. Desks 600-603 (for Spanair's Madrid-Barcelona shuttle flight) are located on the first floor, as is boarding zone E.

After going through security and passport control, make your way to the appropriate departure gate.

Madrid Airport Departures Terminal 4

All Iberia, British Airways, American Airlines and Virgin Express flights.

On the doors that lead to the Departures lobby in T4 (second floor) there are a number of signs with the names of the airline companies. this allows you to choose the access door that is closest to the check-in desks of your airline.

Once you have been through security if you have a departure gate of H, J or K (domestic or Schengen country destinations or Iberia flights to London and Dublin) you will have to go down to floor 1 where the departure gates are located. If your departure zone is R, S or U, you must go left and down to floor 2 where you can take the remote controlled underground train that takes you on a 3 minute journey connecting Terminal 4 with T4S. This is a remote-controlled train that connects T4 with T4S. The journey takes just over 3 minutes.

If your departure zone in T4S is M (domestic or Schengen country destinations) make your way to the ground floor. If your departure zone is R, S or U (non-Schengen countries or countries outside the EU) you should go through the passport control located on floor 1.

The Iberia Air Shuttle is in the exclusive area, second floor of T4 at the end on the left .

If you are departing from T4, check with your airline how long you will need to allow for check-in and make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to allow for unexpected hold-ups

Madrid Airport Departures Terminal 4S (Satellite building)

Once you are in T4S, if your boarding zone is M (national or Schengen destinations) make your way to P0. If your boarding zone is R, S or U (non-Schengen destinations or countries outside the EU) you should go through the passport control located on P-1 and then make your way to P1.

The Iberia air shuttle is situated in an exclusive area on the left at the end of the second floor of T4.
