Jerez Shopping
There is a brand new shopping mall that has opened in Jerez, (Area Sur). I can't get mouch info on it at the moment but I know that Primark, yes Primark from the UK have a shop there!
Jerez has some great shopping in the city centre, much of which is pedestrianised. The main shopping streets are between Plaza Romero Martinez and Plaza del Arenal. Jerez has always been an important trading city where traditional products and ancient crafts can be still be found, including barrel-making, wicker work, wine, flamenco and saddling, and there are many boutiques where you can find the most exclusive of these products.
Duarte (Large 15) is Jerez’s most famous saddle shop selling beautiful leather which is exported all over the world and popular with tourists who can choose from all kinds of superbly worked leather items. La Esparteria (Calle Ramon de Cala 17) is the place to visit for wickerwork: Ceramica Amaya (Avda Carrero Blanco 16) has some excellent local pottery and Ferros (Calle La Torre 4) is worth visiting to see their stunning selection of lanterns.
There are also a number of excellent jewellery shops selling bith inexpensive items and very expensive pieces such as diamond engagement rings!
