Jerez Car Hire
Although you may come across a large number of companies offering car hire at Jerez Airport, only six actually have branches within the Airport Terminal. These are obviously the easiest and most convenient ones to deal with, as you can collect your luggage and make arrangements to collect your car at the desk directly outside the arrivals hall.
Below are each of the Jerez Airport car rental firms. Click on the individual link to find out more about that company.
AurigaCrown at Jerez Airport - Avis at Jerez Airport - Europcar at Jerez Airport - Goldcar at Jerez Airport - Hertz at Jerez Airport - National Atesa at Jerez Airport.
All six of the above companies have offices in the airport terminal in the arrivals hall. Other car rental firms operate on the outskirts of the airport.
We have partnered with a company called CarTrawler who we believe are able to offer the best rates for car hire at every Spanish Airport. You can obtain a free online quote for your Jerez car hire here.
However, for an indication of price: a Peugeot 207 or similar Economy class car hired at the end of September for 8 days (Saturday to Saturday) 2009 from Jerez Airport will cost around 165 GBP (quotation includes collision damage waiver, theft protection, third party liability, VAT, unlimited mileage and airport fees).

Car Hire in Jerez Airport
When driving your hire car do not assume that because you are in a foreign country you are exempt from their driving regulations. The Spanish police are really tightening up on traffic violations and you should be aware that they are divided into three categories:
Very serious or "muy grave" incur fines over €302 or suspension for up to three months and can be enforced for refusal to take a breath test; exceeding the speed limit by 50%; reckless driving; driving in the wrong direction against traffic and carrying 50% more passengers than seats.
Serious or "grave" incur fines range from €91 to €302 with possible suspension and include: speeding in excess of 50%; dangerous parking; driving without lights or throwing an object out of the car which could cause an accident or fire.
Minor or "menor" incur fines up to €91 for parking tickets. Offenders can obtain a 30% discount for prompt payment but non residents and tourists are usually fined on the spot.
