The minimum age for driving in Spain (provided you hold a full UK licence) is 18 for a car and a motorcycle over 75cc. If you have still got one of the old style green licences you might find the police do not understand them, so it is advisable to either get it updated or carry an International Driving Permit as well.

Those who decide to park illegally may well end up becoming acquainted with the 'grua', which is Spanish for the tow truck.
