St Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport is on State Route 686 - Roosevelt Blvd 7km north of St. Petersburg. Interstate 75 leads from points both north and south in Florida to the Tampa Bay area. From Orlando, I-4 connects in Tampa with I-275 southbound to St. Petersburg.

St Petersburg is on a peninsula on Florida's West coast in an area bordered by the Gulf of Mexico to the west and by Tampa Bay to the east.The area has 50km of white sandy beaches on eight barrier islands. The airport is close to some of the major Florida attractions: 30 minutes to Busch Gardens in Tampa and 90 minutes to the Walt Disney World Resort, Sea World and Universal Studios in Orlando

Tampa International Airport is only 30 minutes from St. Petersburg and is served by all major airlines. The St Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport provides additional passenger services.

When you arrive at the airport and get to the baggage reclaim area you will find four reclaim belts and plenty of baggage carts. There are two public pay phones and the area is relatively small and easy to find your way around.

In this area you will also find the car hire/rental desks who have their hire vehicles parked immediately opposite the arrivals exit/entry. We also provide information on live flight arrivals at St Petersburg Airport.

You can be dropped off at the front of the terminal building, but you cannot leave a vehicle here.  The short stay car park is available just further along from ticketing/check in on the left side after the car hire car park.

There are good taxi and shuttle options at St Petersburg Airport.  These services operate from across the road from arrivals and baggage reclaim.  It is always a good idea to agree a price with the taxi driver if the taxi is not metered. Amtrak offers bus connections to St. Petersburg, and the Greyhound bus system also links to many northern cities. St. Petersburg is served by the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority which provides bus transport throughout the entire county (including access to the beaches).

There is no railway/train station at the St Petersburg Airport, but there is an Amtrak Bus Station in downtown St Petersburg which serves both Clearwater and St Petersburg where you can take the bus to your train connection. St Petersburg Airport short and long term car parks are open two hours prior to the first departure of the day and one hour after the last flight arrives.  Cash, Credit Cards, and Debit Cards (Visa and Mastercard) are all accepted for payment.

The offsite car park is located across Roosevelt Blvd. It is not always open so check in advance and the airport will operate a free shuttle service from the remote lot to the terminal.
