Weather in La Coruna
La Coruna is in a rugged corner of Spain where much of the land
is over 500 metres above sea level. The climate is temperate
and heavily influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. It does display
some characteristics of a Mediterranean climate, but the autumn
and winter are often unsettled and unpredictable. There are frequently strong winds
and lots of rainfall between October and April caused by Atlantic
depressions. The Ocean and cloud cover does keep temperatures mild
however and frost is very rare.
During the summer La Coruna is mostly dry and sunny with only occasional rainfall. Temperatures are warm but rarely uncomfortably hot thanks to the sea's cooling influence. Spring is usually cool and fairly calm.
