Located just 8kms outside of the city of Coruna this airport deals mostly with internal Spanish flights and to date there are not any low cost airlines flying here from the UK or Germany. The nearest airport which is served by Ryanair is Santiago de Compostela Airport which is about 65 kms away.
In 2009 there were 16,236 flight operations with 1,068,823 people passing through the airport which is a steady increase from the 852,322 in 2005.

Flights to La CorunaIberia, Clickair and Spanair offer a selection of Internal and International flights from La Coruna. You can fly from here direct to: Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Seville and Zaragoza in Spain, Lisbon in Portugal and London Heathrow.
Clickair operate flights from London Heathrow into La Coruna . Remember that all times quoted are local as Spain is one hour ahead of the UK.
Arrivals
La Coruna arrivals: When you arrive at Coruna Airport there are just three baggage carousels to collect your bags from. After you have collected your luggage head into the main arrivals hall where you will find signs for the taxis and buses and the offices for the car hire companies. Iberia and Spanair also have ticket offices here.
Departures
La Coruna departures: The departures area at La Coruna Airport consists of 10 check in desks and once you have checked in you will be called to one of four boarding gates on the ground floor (gates 1 and 2, which provide access to the apron) or the first floor (gates 3 and 4, equipped with air bridges).
Within this area you will also find a cafe serving hot and cold drinks and a Multishop selling cigarettes etc.
Parking
Parking at La Coruna: The provisional P3 public car park is now open and is located at the access roundabout to the airport just 700 metres from the terminal. There is a free shuttle bus service running at regular intervals connecting the car park to the terminal building.
The P3 car park will be operating while work is being carried out on the new P1 car park in front of the terminal building. This new car park will have approximately 2,200 parking spaces: one at ground level and three underground floors.
While the works on P1 are taking place, the access lanes surrounding the current car park will be reduced from two to one with a taxi rank and coach stop area in front of the terminal.
For the first half hour it is €0.42 then increases to €1.06 for next half hour and each subsequent hour is €0.98. The daily maximum for up to four days is €10.75 and from the fifth day it is €8.60. You can read more here about Jerez Airport Parking and our personal experiences of flying from Jerez.
Aena (Spanish Airport Authorty) has begun the car park expansion works and until the new spaces become operational it is recommended that you find out the latest situation by telephoning +34 981 187 315 before heading to the airport.
Airport bus
Buses at La Coruna: The buses at Coruna Airport arrive and depart from just outside the terminal building. The service connects A Coruña (Puerta Real) with the airport, and stops in Casino, Plaza de Orense, Avenida A. Molina, Alcampo, Portazgo, Corveira and Vilaboa.
On working days, both from A Coruña and from the airport, buses run from 7.15 am to 9.45 pm every half hour. On Saturdays they leave from A Coruña every hour from 7.30 am to 10.30 pm, and from the airport from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm also every hour. On Sundays and bank-holidays they leave every hour, from A Coruña from 8.30 am to 10.30 pm, and from the airport from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm.
