Taxis - Bilbao Airport
Bilbao Airport is located at 12 kilometres from the capital city of the same name in the district of Loiu.
It has excellent transport links with northern Spain via the A-8 motorway which leads to Santander in the west and to San Sebastian, Irun and France in the east. The AP-68 connects Bilbao with Vitoria, Logroño, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Burgos and Madrid.
There is no train service from Bilbao Airport but you can get a bus transfer or taxi to your destination. The least stressful and best way to start your holiday is by booking your own Private Bilbao Transfer but be warned there is not a lot to choose from at this airport.
Fares for taxis at Bilbao Airport
There is a taxi rank directly outside the Arrivals Hall. The fare into the centre of the city (which takes about fifteen minutes) is approximately €20. The fare to Getxo is €27. Telephone: 0034 944 800 909.
There are plenty of taxis to be hired at the airport and in the city centre either from the road or cab ranks. If the green light is on then they are free. Drivers will only enter the narrow streets in the part of Bilbao if summoned.
