Bilbao Airport Buses General Information

If you are planning on making several journeys on public transport it is worth purchasing a CreditTrans card which can save you up to 50% and is valid on all the municipal transport systems in Bilbao, and shortly most of the provincial transit systems in Vizcaya. It is a pay per ride card available at all Metro and Tram stations and some newsstands in denominations of 5€, 10€, and 20€. We have written a guide to using trains in Spain to help you get around

A brief explanation of the various transport systems is that the Bizkaibus operates outside the city limits and the airport and the Bilbobus is the central city bus service.

The bus companies connect Bilbao with many cities in Spain more cheaply and frequently than the rail companies.
