Barcelona Airport Taxis

Please note that Barcelona Airport Taxis can generally only carry four passengers including children. If there are more than 4 of you then it is advisable to book private Barcelona Airport Transfers.

You can get the Barcelona Airport taxis from outside each Terminal building and they operate on a queue system. Generally the queues move quickly but there can be delays during peak times.

Approximate rates from the airport into Barcelona on working days (Monday to Friday from 07.00 to 21.00): to Plaza España, €14.90; to Plaza Catalunya €17.20; to Sagrada Familia €20.60.

Approximate rates on Saturdays, holidays and at night (from 21.00 to 07.00): to Plaza España  €17.80; to Plaza Cataluña €20.60; to Sagrada Familia €24.50.

These rates include the airport supplement. The luggage supplement is €0.90 per item. The cost payable is as indicated on the meter and you are advised to request a receipt.

You may also find that to rent a car in Barcelona Airport is cheaper over a week or long weekend than the cost of a return taxi journey especially if you are travelling a distance of 50kms or more. We do not recommend this for those of you staying in the city centre!
