04 May 2005
It's going to be another jet set summer for City of Derry Airport offering its largest ever range of holiday destinations throughout Europe starting in May.
New for summer 2005, Falcon will operate a charter programme to the Algarve in Portugal with the first flights departing next Thursday, May 10 and then every Thursday until October.
Falcon offers a range of one and two week holidays with both hotel and self catering accommodation for one and two weeks.
Also available are Malaga and Alicante Airport as new destinations during the summer. These flights will be operated by Teleticket in the UK and for inbound Spanish visitors by Servitour based in Malaga and Alicante.
Welcoming the new destinations, Seamus Devine, manager of City of Derry airport, said: "I'm delighted that the airport is able to offer a greater range of holiday flights to customers in the North West to top European destinations.
"It is much more convenient for passengers to jet off from their local airport without having to travel to other regions. The demand for summer holiday flights from the airport has grown year on year from the first destination of Majorca which was introduced in 1999."
