alicante restaurants tapasAlicante has an impressive range of restaurants offering cuisine from around the world including Turkish, Moroccan, French, Thai and Indian. If you want to sample the excellent local dishes then you have the choice of a myriad of restaurants and cafes scattered around the city.

You will find also find tapas served everywhere here, but a place with some good bars is the area around the Town Hall Square and the Plaza de Montaceta. In Calle Rafael Altimira you can find the stylish and modern tapas bar Senzone which offers a wide selection that can be eaten inside or taken away.

As you walk around you will see that many restaurants place blackboards outside to advertise their menu del dia. This is a specially priced 2 or 3 course meal, usually including wine or a drink of your choice. They are great value but are usually consigned to lunchtimes when the Spanish have their main meal. This is a great way to eat economically in the more up-market restaurants We have listed below a good selection of the recommended restaurants in Alicante and hopefully you will find one or two to your taste.
