Ticket sales and luggage check-in take place on the ground floor, while boarding for both domestic and international flights takes place on the terminal's first floor and in the new temporary passenger processing zone in T2, connected to the main building via walkway.
The Ifach VIP Lounge is located on the first floor of the main terminal in front of Haagen Dazs ice-cream parlour and provides fax, television and Internet connection facilities as well as a catering service. The telephone number is 966 919 149.
The passenger restricted access zone has a waiting area with shops, restaurants and cafeterias. T2 has a new waiting area for international flights.
With the start-up of T2 Alicante Airport now has 4 more boarding gates, taking the overall number of boarding gates from 12 to 16. Moreover, the airport's operating capacity has increased by 22% as its hourly operations have risen from 18 to 22. For the summer season, 14 new check-in desks and 2 baggage reclaim carousels come into service and it is expected that the airport will reach a rate of 24 operations per hour
The T2 building has been constructed to cope with the traffic demand in Alicante Airport during the works for the new terminal area, which are currently underway on the east side of the main terminal.
