Travelling through Madrid Airport
Thank you very much Linda. I feel much better.

Hi Annette,
Madrid is a large international airport where most of the staff speak English so your daughter will be fine.
Continental land at Terminal 1 and if the plane has to dock away from the terminal building a bus will be provided to get her into the customs and passport control area. All she needs to do is follow the signs (and other passengers) into the baggage reclaim hall and wait until her flight number appears on the monitors to see which reclaim belt she needs to go to - it is all very straightforward.

My 17 year old daughter is traveling alone to Madrid this month from Florida . She is flying on Continental. Do you know the terminal she will arrive on. What will she do when the flight lands. Is there a bus that takes you from the plane to the terminal. Will it be easy to navigate. When she goes through immigration will she be in the same building as baggage claim.luggage.
I am worried although someone will meet her at the airport to pick her up. I want her to feel comfortable about where to go and how things will flow. Please help....worried mom.
