Gettting from Gibraltar to Algeciras

Iam on a time constraint and worry the bus may take longer as you have to change etc. I will go for the taxi option.

Hi Sam,

You cannot get a bus from Gibraltar to Algeciras but if you walk over the border into La Linea you can cross the catch a bus from there (it's about a 10 minute walk max).

You can get details of timetables and fares of buses from La Linea to Algeciras by clicking on this link. As you will see, you need to change at Tarifa.

It is a 22km journey from La Linea to Algeciras so a taxi (which again you get on the Spanish side just outside the border entrance) will cost about €35 single fare for up to 4 passengers. If you are worried about the cost, Spanish taxis operate from a fixed price so ask the driver what the charge is before you set off.

I hope you can assist me with my query.
Iam due to travel to GIB next Monday 21 July.
I need to then continue my journey into Tangiers, via bus to Algeciras from GIB.

Can you advise where I would catch this bus, how long it takes and approx cost please?

I have also looked at the option of a taxi from outside the airport but understand they can be pricey - can you give any advice?
