Advance Passenger Information (API)

Hi John,

Explain what's happened when you check in because all that Ryanair need to do is to scan the magnetic strip at the back of the new passports to get all the relevant information. They only try to collect this info at the time of booking to cut down on queues. As long as the Spanish Airport Authority have the information prior to your take off (which they will have if done in this way as it is added to the flight manifesto) you will not have a problem.

i booked holiday to spain.using reus airport. i have booked with ryan air. due to the need to get 10 of us booked for the flight, and then booking the accomodation as quick as i could.this is the problem with do it yourself hols.well to cut time i did not put down all the grandkids full names. i just put down the first name and surname.this was in april. i had to get first passports for three of the kids so could not do the advanced passenger information untill june. ryan air let you go back to your booking to do the info.but you are using the names as per the booking in names.will i be ok for spain with just the first name and surname i have filled the form in, in this manner. plus all the other required info of course.i cant get in touch with ryan air to ask for info, but thats nothing new. i would not like to get to the air port, liverpool ,and find they wont let us fly.
