Rising costs of holidays abroad hit British holidaymarkers
A survey of 1540 GMTV viewers has revealed the impact the credit crunch has had on holiday plans this year with over 70% of those surveyed holidaying on a tight budget and 40% worried that they will be in debt when they return.
Over 64% of people surveyed said that the strong Euro will force them to make cutbacks abroad and 36% said they will be downgrading their accommodation. And of those who are not going on holiday this summer, 70% said it was because they couldn't afford it.
