Transit buses at Madrid Airport

There are transit buses operating at 5 minute intervals between the terminals at Madrid Airport. You will see the boarding stations clearly signposted in Terminal 1.

We arrive at Terminal 1 i Madrid and will take Air Europa at Terminal 2 --
Can we walk from Terminal 1 to the Terminal 2? If so, where do we go?
