Terminal transfers at Madrid Airport

Hi Adriano,

The recommended minimum time to allow for transfers is 1 hour and 30 minutes so you are OK providing you are not delayed into Madrid.

There is an automated people mover which connects T4 with T4S so you can easily transfer between terminals.

As both your flights are Iberia you should be able to check your luggage right through from Sao Paulo to Heathrow and clear immigration in the "passengers in transit" area at Madrid which is usually a speedy process.

Hi Linda. I was reading your website and it is brilliant. It's very
good to find people trying to help other people. :-)

Well, I am a bit worried about a trip I will do to Europe in July.
Maybe you can give me some advices.....

I will depart from Brazil (Sao Paulo) on July 19, and Arrive at Madri
(Barajas) on July 20, at 07:05 if no delayed (flight # IB6826) -
Terminal 4S.

Then, at 08:45 I have a flight (# IB3162) to London Heathrow departing
from Terminal 4

I'll have about 1:30 to transfer from 4S to 4.

Is it enough time? Will I have to go trough immigration process?

As I could find on the Internet, the common way it to go from 4 to 4S.
I will come from 4S to 4. Is it ok?

Thank you very much for your website and for your help.

Best regards,

Adriano.

I am travelling from Santiago de Compostela to Prague. Flight from Santiago arrives at 13:30 on terminal 2 and flight to Prague departs at 14:45 from terminal 4. Is it enough time to travel between terminals? The firs flight is by Spanair and the 2nd by CSA. Will our baggage be automatically transferred to terminal 4?
