I am afraid there are no train services from Spain into the Algarve. The only trains that run across the border are from Madrid to Lisbon.

In July I am going to Portugal, a friend of mine is intending to visit me for a few days. They will be in Malaga. Do you know the best way to get from Malaga to Portugal? Flights seem very expensive. I believe a train is a possibility?
It will be early July - before children break up for summer holidays.
Not a problem if we need to pick him up from anywhere, but we will be in Albuferia.
