Getting from Reus to Calafell

Hi Linda

Thanks for the prompt reply

I see what you mean.

Its strange that what I believe to be an important coastal route that should serve many large towns/cities in a major tourist region has such poor public transport.

We maybe need to think again about Calafell - this was just a short, extra, cheap holiday for my wife and sister in law in September and the main point was a cheap flight into Reus from Luton. It gives the sisters a chance for a bit of 'bonding' as they only see each other twice a year.

Now that I have the train timetable I will look at this first before I select a holiday location.

Thanks again - god bless the internet and people who are prepared to help

Best wishes

Bill

Hi Bill,

It's a 40km journey from the Airport to Calafell so a taxi for up to 4 persons will cost around €50 single fare.

You can get a train from Reus City centre to Calafell, but you will see they are not very frequent to say the least! http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir110.jsp&O=?&D=?&AF

You can find out more on buses from the airport and to the city centre at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/reus-airport-buses.html and the bus timetables at http://www.igualadina.com/index.php?idioma=eng but I can't find any routes from Reus Airport or the City Centre to Calafell.

Linda

Hi Gary

Are there trains or busses available or if not what would be a ball park figure for a taxi?
