Getting from Bilbao to the Kobetasonik Festival

I was wondering if you could help me!
Id like to come to Bilbao on June 20th for the Kobetasonik Festival, i am struggling to find cheap air tickets as we dont seem to have many airports other than london that fly to bilbao? but anyway - how far is the festival from the airport as i will be a single female travelling alone and im a bit worried if i will be safe.. i have not been to spain before and have no concept of how much it will cost to get trains/buses etc?? how would i get from the airport to the festival? and what would be a cheap hotel in-between the festival and the airport that i could use for two nights? i would appreciate any help or information, many thanks, Tessa x

ps - what is the next closest airport to bilbao? as maybe i could get a cheaper flight to a different airport (midlands, wales, bristol etc) from somewhere closer to me as london is a good 4hour drive?
