Getting from Barcelona to Girona

There is a left luggage facility at the airport but you don't have a lot of time to get into Barcelona. Couple of questions. We are flying into Barcelona, next week, where we have a 4 hour wait for a connection to Ibiza. Is there time to go into the city and is there a left luggage facility at the airport? Secondly, how easy is it to transfer between Girona and Barcelona airports and how long does it take?
