Taxis for passengers with special needs at Alicante Airport
Hi Gary,
Linda,
Thanks very much - anything's worth a bash!

Hi Paddy,
Disabled facilities at Spanish Airports can be sadly lacking sometime I'm afraid. The standard single fare for a taxi from Alicante to Benidorm is €58 for the 65km journey,
I haven't heard of Dave's Radio Taxis but I do know Radio Taxis in Elche have a vehicle for passengers with special needs. You can visit them at http://www.radiotaxielche.com/ or telephone +34 965 252 511
Or you can try Eurocare Mobility at http://www.eurocaremobility.com/ as although they do not provide a taxi service I am sure they will know of a local reasonably priced company who do.

We are a party of 4 booked for 10 days at the Melia Benidorm from May 23rd this year. We're arriving by Flyglobespan who are unable to assist with transfers for one of our party who is chairbound disabled. Apparently if he can't get out the chair and run up the stairs into the coach then they can't accommodate him - makes you wonder why he's in a chair if he could do that!
Anyway, they recommended Eurotaxis but the price is ridiculous - £170 return (the flights are cheaper!). I hear there is a service 'Dave's Airport Transfers' who has a disabled taxi and charges 40 euros (although I'm unsure if that's return or just the one way - still cheaper!). I can't find this on the net and wonder if you could help - or recommend some other company who won't rip us off.
Thanks.
Paddy
