Cigarette duty free allowance

By the way - just in case you don't know - you often get a much better deal buying cigarettes from a local tabac then you do at the airport.

If I bought cigarettes in Spain, say from the "tabac shop."
Is there a restriction to how many I can carry as hand luggage back to the U.K.?
