Hand luggage allowance at Madrid Barajas Airport

It's not the airport which limits the number of pieces of baggage, it's the airline. So it will be whatever is stated on your ticket. The airports only actually advertise that they have equipment which can handle a certain number of pieces of hand baggage, at the end of the day it's up to the airline how much they allow you to carry on .

Hi, do you know how many pieces of hand luggage are allowed at Madrid Barajas?
I'm flying tomorrow to Bangkok with Spanair, operated by Thai Airways, and I think they allow 7kgs, but I can't find anywhere if Madrid limits passengers to one piece only.
