It's a 99km drive which will take just over an hour. A taxi all the way will probably cost in the region of €130-€140.

Hi Jacob,

There is a 19.15 and 21.15 bus from Alicante Airport into central Murcia.
The journey time is 45 minutes and the single fare is ?4.24. But then you
need to get to Los Alzacares which is 68km away.

The nearest station is Cartagena but there is only one direct train a day
from Alicante which leaves at 17.34 which is too early for you, so your only
option by train is to get a bus to Murcia and then a train to Cartagena or a
bus or taxi from the airport into Alicante - details at
http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/alicante-airport-buses.html and then
trains to Murcia and Cartagena.

My suggestion would be that you get the 19.15 bus into Murcia which arrives
at 20.00 and then the 21.45 (last train) to Cartagena. Los Alcazares is
only 8km from Catagena so by that time I would suggest you get a taxi which
would cost you around ?º5.

The problem you have is that if you miss the 19.15 bus the next one will not
get you to Murcia in time for the Cartagena train. You are then very tight
for time and need to get a taxi into Alicante to get the 20.24 train to
Murcia which arrives there at 21.36 . Leaving you jut 9 minutes to make the
connection.

If there is any way you can change your flight and land at Murcia San Javier
Airport it would be much easier as Los Alzacares is only 6km from there.
