Geting to Laxe from Santiago de la Compostela

Hi again David,

Parking at Santiago Airport is expensive for the long term and I don't know of any off airport parking. There are spaces for 1200 cars and the charges are as follows: €0.42 for the first half hour and €0.52 for the next 30 minutes and €0.96 per hour thereafter. Daily parking costs for a maximum of 4 days costs €10.45 with a daily maximum from the fifth day of €8.35.

A Coruna has capacity for 524 vehicles and has the same charges as Santiago I'm afraid with no long term parking rates.

Sorry I can't be of more help with this.

Linda

Linda,

Thanks for that. I may consider flying into Coruna with Click Air and then get a taxi to the bus to Laxe.

Another question if I may - do you know of any long stay parking at Coruna or Santiago airports to enabe a car to be left for up to 2 months for instance.

David

Hi David,

I do not know this area very well and public transport services are not good. I cannot find any bus links, but you can get a train from Santiago to A Coruna - details at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir130.jsp&O=31400&D=31412&AF
=2008&MF=MM&DF=DD&SF=NaN&ID=i and to get to the station you can get a bus from the airport - details at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/santiago.html

You can then get a bus - details at http://www.concellodelaxe.com/eng/turismo/situacion/index.htm or a taxi to Laxe but it is still 67km and will cost you around €80.

It's a 133km journey from Santiago Airport to Laxe so a taxi all the way will cost you around €150 single fare.

It might be worth you looking at this website as it does seem to cover all the avenues on getting to Laxe http://www.concellodelaxe.com/eng/turismo/situacion/index.htm

Linda

Gary,

Would you tell me how to get from the airport to Laxe by public transport.

David
