Flight connection times at Madrid

Hi Jeff,

The minimum recommended time to allow between flight transfers is 1hour and 30 minutes. This allows a slight margin for flight delay and for any baggage to be transferred. As you are only carrying hand luggage I would go for the 1.55 pm Air Europa flight which is in the same terminal.

Your return flight is very tight for time and as you also have a terminal change I would opt for a later one if you can.

Thanks for your really useful website.

My friends and I are travelling into Spain with only carry-on luggage. We are arriving from Amsterdam at 12:25pm into Madrid Bajaras Terminal 2. We need to connect to Barcelona, and was wondering how tight our connection time can be. Our 3 options: Can we make a 1:30pm Vueling Flight from Terminal 4? A 1:55pm Air Europa flight from Terminal 2 may minimize change time? And a 2:15pm Iberia flight from Terminal 4 should be safe?

On our last day we are connecting again in Madrid, arriving on a Vueling flight from Barcelona at 7:15am. Can we make our 8:25am KLM flight to Amsterdam at Terminal 2 considering we need to clear immigration?
