Carrying fruit in hand luggage

Hi Phyll,

You cannot take fresh fruit in your hand luggage through security, but you can usually buy some if there is a cafeteria in the departures area and you can take this on board.

Have searched the web site without success, Am I permitted to take fresh fruit in my hand luggage from Spain to England. I fly Friday so quick reply would be appreciated.
