Assistance at Alicante Airport
Darn sight more helpful than either Jet2 or Holiday Taxis, frankly,Linda, thanks.

Hi Jacquie,
The best thing is to ask Jet2 to radio ahead and provide a buggy for your mother. The best time to do this is when you check in at Blackpool (when they will probably say they can't help) and then ask the crew on board the plane to radio ahead and ask their ground staff at Benidorm to provide assistance. There are luggage trolleys at Alicante in the arrivals hall and the fact that you are travelling in the low season should mean that there are some available.
The buggy will take your mother as far as arrivals but not beyond that so you will need to be able to get her from there to your private transfer. The driver for Holiday Taxis should be waiting for you as you go through to the main public arrivals zone so it is worth telling them that he needs to be parked nearby in a disabled zone or leave you to wait while he gets the car to the terminal to make life easier for your mother.
Finally, we are an independent site that is not supported by Aena (the Spanish Airport Authority).
Hopefully the above answers all your concerns.
Linda
Hi G,
Just discovered your site - excellent. Wonder if you can help me? I'm a journalist so have visited Benidorm before on press trips - blackpool/benidorm comparisons and like. The last traumatised me as the PR was such a creep !
i'm taking my mum for her birthday , 72nd, as she's in failing health, have booked the Avenida as I kept getting stuck in English section and hated it (Avenida looked nice and central). I want her to have a break while she can.
Consequently I'll be carting two suitcases and sundry hand luggage on arrival - while watching her progress too (cant bring her wheelchair too - too much hassle). I keep hearing horror stories about lack of trolleys at alicante.
Also a bit worried about making my way with that little lot to meet own booked transfer (via Holiday taxis) as not even sure what terminal we fly into (jet2 from Blackpool) and how chaotic that's likely to be.
Flying next weekend.
Are porters available near arrivals , and if so, how helpful are they, and will they ferry us to the right place - and what 's a reasonable fee? If you read this during working pse copy in to my work email jacqui.morley@blackpoolgazette.co.uk please.
How does your site operate - is it supported by airports?
best wishes Jacquie M
