Left luggage storage at Madrid Airport

Hi Gary

Is the left luggage at Madrid airport within or outside the customs area? We are flying BA London Madrid then connecting Easyjet to Casablanca. Would like to leave a very large bag at the airport as we stay in Madrid on the way back and do not need that bag in Morocco. But don’t think we have time to go out of customs and back again. Also can I have an idea of the charges? It weighs about 30kg and is extra large.

Thanks

Barry

Hi Barry,

There are three left-luggage offices at Madrid Barajas Airport in T1, T2 and T4 but they are all through customs just off the baggage reclaim halls.

All baggage left at the left-luggage office passes through an x-ray checkpoint to verify that they do not contain dangerous items or objects. Prices vary depending on size and time, but as a rough guide one day or less costs €4 for a small or large locker; 2 – 15 days costs €5 per day (large) or €4 per day (small) Larger storage space is available. Hi Linda

I think I may need the larger storage – is that in the same place? Also will I be able to go in and out of customs (Australian Passport) and is it quite quick?

Thanks

Barry

Hi again Barry,

All the storage is in the same place. You will be able to go in and out of customs but the speed depends on how many flights are arriving at the same time as yours and the queues they bring. Usually the non Schengen passport facility is pretty quiet, but if you get someone in front of you with a problem you know how long it can take!
