Flying to Peru via Madrid
Hi Sue,
Iberia should check your luggage right through from Heathrow and when you arrive in Madrid you should not need to clear customs but should go through connecting flight zone to 4S (you need to catch a train to get to the satellite terminal). It is all clearly signposted and you have plenty of time to make the transfer (provided you don't experience a delay in the UK) as the journey is only a few minutes.

Hi Gary,
My husband and I are travelling to Peru on Sat 10th November with Iberia. Can we assume that Iberia will take our luggage at Heathrow and move it from the Heathrow flight onto the Peru flight, without us having to reclaim it. We transfer from Terminal 4 to 4S and have less than two hours between arrival and departure. Would you anticipate that we need to go through customs again and with the changes in Spanish security checking, will this take a lot of time? Given that we will need to get from one terminal to another this does not allow a lot of time from disembarking one plane to getting on another. Can you advise please?
Sue
